She. Her. Hers.

I've had artistic expression in my bones since I was 5 years old and barely able to get up onto a piano bench. From music to storytelling to painting to cooking to writing to dancing to singing, I have been and continue to be in love with the arts.

I was born and raised in the Twin Cities where I graduated from the University of Minnesota / Guthrie Theater BFA Actor Training Program. There, I learned from and grew to appreciate the classics such as Shakespeare, Chekhov, the Greeks, and Wilson to name a few. As a classically trained actor, I desired to expand my training upon graduation and focus on contemporary and new work. Following that passion, I was thrilled to become a part of the Professional Training Company at Actors Theatre of Louisville, home of the Humana Festival of New American Plays.

As I move through the world, I am always discovering more clarity and nuance regarding the stories I want to dedicate myself to. I will always hold the classics near and dear to my heart, yet in this chapter of my life, I am excited about new work that makes space for black stories, strong and detailed women, hard-to-swallow truths, and messages of love and forgiveness. And if I'm also able to tap into that 5-year-old pouring her heart out into her music, all the better.
